Riding The Duck

March 16, 2014

Last Monday my neighbor Delores asked if I would like to use her ticket to Ride The Duck.  She had bought the ticket a while ago but when Bob went to the hospital the week before, she decided it was better to stay with him.  I’ve always wanted to do it, just never got around to it.  It was with the Senior Center and there were about 11 of us.  Nice size and we had others on the duck later.  it was a clear sunny day, warm in the sun but a bit chilly in the wind.  We all had jackets on and I was glad they had a blanket for our lap on the duck.

They leave from across from the Space Needle and Experience Music Project – a little building with gifts of ducks – big surprise.

We started at the red circle and then down to the waterfront, along Alaskan Way.

This is inside where the driver sits.  Our tour guide was Bjorn Toorun and he had a whole crate full of crazy hats for the whole ride.

This was the starting point, that is EMP across the way and behind it the Space Needle

100_0333

Let me tell you, that sucker wasn’t easy to climb in and I will admit, I could have used more leg room.  No windows, great for taking pictures but a bit nippy when the wind is chilly.

We went along the waterfront and I learned a few things I didn’t know before.  I saw the Victoria catamaran at the dock, I remember the regular boat – though this one takes only 2 hours.  We went up to 1st Ave and he explained that the reason why the buildings are all brick was a result of the Great Fire.  Yes, we had one too.  A glue-pot tipped over and ignited the straw and that was the end of many of the buildings.  so the city fathers declared buildings could only be made of non-flammable material.

We went past Pioneer Square – it is more gentrified and the urban outdoorsmen have been encouraged to go other places; then up to the SAM (Seattle Art Museum) and The Hammering Man.  The only day he doesn’t hammer is Labor Day.  Next area was Pike Place Market, then turned up Pike street and over to 6th past the Elephant  Car Wash.   It has been there since I can remember in the early 50’s when we moved here.   It has probably been there longer than that.

Then up on to Aurora so we could go across the Aurora Bridge –  just before the bridge view

We turned down into  part of Fremont on Stone Way and went down to the water.  Our family’s landmark is Doc Freeman because to the right is where it used to be – they were very good customers of R&R Custom Wood.  I remember going with Mom and Dad on Friday when they delivered.  One day a guy came by and saw all the woodenware in the wagon and asked Dad if he could build a map rack for his large book of maps.  Presto!  A new product.  It happened more than once.

We turned left and went along the shore were the marinas are, the racks of boats (the driver called it the only vending machine for boats).

We also went past Fishery’s Supply, another good customer.  They bought things for their stores and mail order.  Then down along Gasworks Park and just before Ivar’s is a boat launch ramp.  Time to spend some time on the water.

I couldn’t see how it looked from inside the duck, so I have been using other pictures as well as my own.

The driver had to change gears and slowly went into the water.  The ramp and the entrance to the lake is lined with boats and boat houses.  It was interesting to see that the houseboats were moored in between boats, plus all kinds of different boats.

As we went out into the lake it definitely was windy and nippy, but the sun was so clear and bright.  We went along Gasworks Park – interesting to see from the water.  It used to power a lot of the City, then they closed it down, took out the important and dangerous parts, then fenced off the still dangerous areas and made it into a park. They often have fireworks off shore from there.

What’s interesting is that along there just before going out on the lake is where some of the crab boats of “Deadliest Catch” are kept off season.

We went along where we had driven and around by the old Doc Freeman’s, along to some other houseboats and I saw the mountains and the Aurora Bridge in the distance.  Went over to the “Sleepless in Seattle” houseboat and he was saying there are only 500 allowed on the lake.  They are expensive and there are some that are attached to the mooring, so they can’t be taken out on the water.  We went near Queen Anne Hill and then came back to go up the ramp for the rest of the tour.  He showed us some houseboats that run $1 million and up – not cheap to live on a houseboat.

Time to go back up the ramp and on to the rest of the tour.

100_0328Past one last houseboat

100_0329Change gears again

100_0330And back up the ramp.

We drove into Fremont and past “Waiting For the Interurban” – a well loved sculpture but the Fremont Bridge.  It has been there for a long time and people in the neighborhood dress it up, depending on the holiday or occasion.

100_0332

They may have dressed them for Mardi Gras.  The baby has the face of a dog and the dog has the face of a baby.  This is my favorite sculpture in the city.

Time to go back across the Fremont Bridge this time and along the Eastlake shore.  Then back into the city and the starting point of our 90 minute tour.

This didn’t end up the same way Gilligan’s 3 hour tour did.  As we rode our bus to lunch, I was feeling sleepy – must be all that sunshine and fresh air.  We ended going back to the center because the rest aunt wasn’t open for lunch – that was fine with me.  I dozed as we went back to Burien, I had really enjoyed the trip!

Morning to Evening

February 9, 2014

When we got up Saturday morning, this is what we saw!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

There was a big cloud over the house, yet we could see the sun rising on the mountains and their layers of snow.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

These are such spectacular mountains and I love to see them no matter what the weather.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

They are so magnificent!  I miss them when they are covered by clouds.

The weather men have been predicting snow for several days and nothing has happened.  So when they said it would snow last night, we figured it was another false alarm.  Around 8 or so we looked out and By George, it was snowing.  I am always fascinated by snow at night, it lights up everything, as if someone left the lights on.  It is so beautiful, no wind so everything is just piled on the ground, the bushes and the trees.  There must have been about 2 or 3 inches of snow, we noticed no one going down the Shorewood Dr hill.

It’s not sunny this morning, instead it is very grey – sky, Sound, with only the ground white.   Eddie was due to go to the Museum of Flight this morning, he is still here because he didn’t want to deal with the hills.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

What a different view this morning!

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

No mountains and we can barely see the islands.

Now he getting dressed so he can go out and shovel the walk – it is supposed to start raining overnight, so it may be a redundant use of energy.  However, he has some exercise and will know the walk is clear tomorrow morning.  I want to go take pictures but need to have a shower and get dressed first – better get started so I have pictures for the blog.

Later

I had a shower and put clothes on so I could go out to take pictures – also took some out the bathroom window because it was  beautiful to see snow against the trunks of the camellia and lilac trees.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the lilac by the outside stairs and the bathroom window.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Just next to it is the big camellia.  Amazing when the wind doesn’t blow it all off.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The snow piled up on the leaves of the camellia.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Allen’s have a tree next to their deck that is full of light pink blossoms in the spring.  You might say it is flowering in snow today.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I noticed the Rosemary bush was flowering in pale lavender earlier in the week – now it has snow flowers.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is the Allen’s lilac bush; I picked some last Spring to take to Mom.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Eddie didn’t have much trouble clearing the walk because he said the snow was light.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The camellias by the walk.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I think we had about 3 – 4″ of snow, that’s how it looked to me where Eddie had cleared the walk.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The red pear tree had quite a load of snow –

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

so did the other pear and the Gravenstein apple.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The east side of the house where the lilac is on the left, the big camellia next to it, the light pink rhododendron, the dark red rhododendron and at the corner is the purple lilac.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The pink dogwood has really grown – my wood stream is somewhere in that bed.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

There is the stump of the Fotinia tree – it now has a small tree growing out of the top.  The bumps below are my wood stream.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is looking behind the east side of the house where the lilacs, rhodos and big camellia are – that’s the outside stairs below.

Things are different now, the truck came by a bit ago to put sand on the road and make Shorewood Dr. hill easier to navigate.  The snow isn’t quite as pretty as it was this morning when I took the pictures – I realize I could have used black and white film and have the same look.  A while ago the fog rolled in, not up here yet but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen.

I know this is not a big deal compared to most of the country – I know what it is like from the times I lived in different place.  What we have today is plenty for me and the idea of rain coming tonight is very welcome.  Otherwise it would end up very icy for Eddie tomorrow.  I plan to stay home and work on my taxes for Saturday.

More Pulp Fashion

February 8, 2014

After writing the post yesterday, I decided to see what Google had on images for both Isobelle and for Fortuny.  What a wonderful surprise!  Isobelle has been working on fashions of the last 500 years and has ones from different eras as well as the Fortuny ones.  This woman is so fascinating, I am astounded at the intricacy and detail of some of the work – she has done clothes in De Medici times, also looks as though she has done French Revolution fashions and one from Worth.

Isabelle_bigger-paper-ball-gown_xlHouse of Worth

This is one of the dresses at Bellevue – Char and I found it fascinating because we thought it was an over dress, turns out it is all one piece but we had to look closely.

I love this one too – the colors are so rich, plus this is one of my favorite colors.

Then I checked out Mariano Fortuny and found the real thing.  This shows how the dress is meant to be stored.

In the exhibit there were pictures of the actual gowns that the paper ones were based.

Conde_nast_fortuny

They do hug your figure, which means they may not look as well on me – I willing to try one on and see how it looks.

I like the hem of the top on this one.  Char remarked that with a shorter skirt, it would work well today.

Along with the dresses and jackets, she put some paper shoes in as well – after all, one must have matching shoes.

IsabelleShoes_xlMuch too narrow for me, but most ingenious.

I will admit I had forgotten what the exhibit was, but I knew I would have a great time with Char – I was not disappointed!

Pulp Fashion

February 7, 2014

Yesterday my friend Char and I went over to the Bellevue Art Museum to see a wonderful paper dresses.  It sounds a bit strange, but it was so amazing, I am in awe of the woman who did it.

07

This is a wonderful dress and jacket.  We were amazed at the lining in the jacket, it all looks as if it has been sewn.

22

This is a closeup of the dress and how it looks.  Even a belt to go with it.

08

This is absolutely amazing, Char thinks they used rice paper as the overdress because she couldn’t see any weave.  It is so transparent, almost gossamer.  There was a wonderful lavender one, a red one and a beautiful green.

When Mariano Fortuny was creating the clothes, he used very fine pleated fabric, silks and wonderful luxurious  fabrics for his  designs.  he had trouble finding a way to keep the pleats in, then he patented a machine that steamed the pleats in to make sure they stayed.  To store a dress, it was twisted and then coiled into a hat box – then shake it out when ready to wear.

002

This is an amazing dress with an interesting jacket.  The back of the jacket goes down to the bottom hem – with a wonderful belt to hold it together.

003

The lapels fold back showing a lining, then the belt holding it together.

014

I really liked this one, in person it is lighter in color and it made me think of sunny spring.

009

Most of the dresses had their hems positioned like this – gathered into the legs and then flaring out – though I doubt it can be worn like that.  Let’s face it, I would likely trip over the hem at some point.

001

What can I say?  It boggles my mind and I am lost in admiration not only for Isabelle de Borchgrave but the original designer Mariano Fortuny.

Mom In Different Times

January 11, 2014

While I was looking in my photos for a picture of Bunny for the last blog post, I ran across some pictures from Mom’s 90th birthday.  I had the new member of my Breakfast Group do a cake for me, though he did say he wasn’t very experienced.  However, it was a delicious cake and everything worked very well.  The pictures have dates and times, so these may have come from someone at the party.

100_0130

100_0136

We invited the domino ladies and had the party on Monday, their day to come and play.

100_0137

We had a sunny day for the party as well.

100_0138

Bob and Delores Allen came from next door and my friend Charlotte joins us as well

100_0139

100_0142

Now you can see Delores, Charlotte in the middle and Bob at the other end of the sofa.

100_0143

Luzma from next door on the other side came too.  She is such a sweetheart.

100_0144

I think we just put 9 candles on the cake – one for each decade.

100_0145

She was very pleased with the party and the cake.

100_0147

Of course we had gifts!

100_0148

Charlotte helping Mom open gifts.

100_0149

Mom’s hooking friend Donna also came.

100_0150

Mom was always delighted to have her friends around.

100_0154

Luzma is such a generous friend to Mom.

100_0156

The Lady of honor.

100_0157

I think this is one of her 1918 club friends, Mabel Wild.

A good time was had by all.  I have other pictures of other occasions when Mom was herself.  I’m so glad to have the pictures and the memories from this occasions as well as just everyday life with her.

Snow – Part 2

December 21, 2013

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I took pictures of Mom’s room on my phone camera – have no idea how to download them.  So I had the camera since I was taking pictures of the snow and decided to take pictures of Mom’s house.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

it’s a long, wide one story house with a white picket fence.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is Eddie and his Volvo, the best way to get around on sloppy roads.  No way would I take the Versa out in the weather.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is looking into Mom’s room from the hall – the bathroom is just across the hall.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is Mom’s new hospital bed, I put up the quilted hanging I did for her 85th birthday.  I had put up the two hangings on the bed to cover the circuit breaker panel, but it didn’t work out too well, so I brought them home.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

She has windows that face to the front.  If you count windows on the outside, hers is right by the front door on the left.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

At the other end of the bed is a set of shelves above the foot of the bed.  There is the picture of the two of them on their both anniversary.  On the lower shelf is a picture of Dad.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

We put her butterfly rug by her bed, she designed it herself as well as hooking it.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Across from the bed is her dresser and she has a photo with the three of us girls and Eddie, also taken on the 50th anniversary.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

There are a couple of high shelves above the dresser.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I did a closeup of the bureau to show the photo and also the pretty bear Luzma brought her.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

When we came home, the snow was mostly gone except for the flowerbeds.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Even the stream looks a bit different.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Some rain has fallen, but it is mostly toolie rain.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Still a bit of interest here; glad I took pictures of the snow.

That was our adventure yesterday in the white stuff.  Glad Eddie didn’t drive all the way to Mukilteo to work, it made me apprehensive because of the other turkeys on the road.

Snow This Morning!!!!!

December 20, 2013

We’ve been hearing about snow in other parts of the country, now we can say we have snow too – or did have snow.  It is late afternoon and the temperature warmed up enough that a lot of the snow is gone – seems to have stayed in the dirt and mulch in the flowerbeds.  The weather people kept saying it was going to snow last night but nothing showed up until about 5 a.m., just as Eddie was ready to go to work.  He decided it wasn’t worth dealing with the highways and other drivers – I was very glad he decided not to go.  We probably had about 2″ of snow – more than enough for me.  I even remembered to take some pictures before it was gone.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAI took this out the bathroom window, I wanted to show snow on the leaves before the wind started to blow.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Looking to the right of the window, the lilac tree and on the right, the outside stairs.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is to the left of the window.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

This is straight out the window toward the hedge by the street.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I still was in my nightie and bare feet, so I took the next few from the back door – not quite daylight.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

You can see a bit of Eric’s lights across the way – looks more impressive in the dark.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

I had trouble taking photos out the window with the flash – so I took a picture of the window to see the view.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The ding room window.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

We went out about 10:30 or so – Eddie drove his Volvo.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Not the brightest morning I’ve ever seen.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

The log slices looked different with an inch or two of snow.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

My little stream looks a little strange.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Another angle.

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERA

Looking back to the house – the side walk was slushy and also crunchy.

Part 2 coming in the next post.

The Only Snow I’ve Seen This Year

December 15, 2013

Most of the country has been dealing with a lot of  snow lately.  We had (to us) really cold weather but nothing on the ground except some frost.  If it is snowy or icy here, we have so many hills to navigate – if I can’t get up and down the hospital hill, I won’t be going anywhere.  True, I don’t have all wheel drive as Eddie does in his Volvo, so I stay put until the roads out of here are passable for me.  Does put a crimp in things for me, but I would rather be inside and warm rather than trying to explain to Eddie why I am in a ditch somewhere and the has had its carriage work rearranged.

Call me chicken if you want, twice I have been stuck on a hill in the snow and had to be recued.  The first time I remember was on the hill of Myers Way – stuck in the middle and going sideways.  I was really scared, the cars were coming down the hill and I was across both lanes.  A guy in a Jeep came by and he and his friend pushed the car to the side and took me home.  Later, Dad drove me over to pick up the when the road was clear.

The second time I managed to get up the hospital hill from Ambaum but couldn’t get across the top.  Dad came out and rescued me.    Another time I had rented a car to visit here and couldn’t get up the hospital hill, so I parked in the parking lot on Ambaum and Bob Allen came down to get me.  Ever since then, I don’t drive in snow unless I get caught when I am out somewhere.

So thanks to my sister Ellen, I have some pictures of snow.  They from the first snowfall in Ocean Grove, New Jersey.

I think these are houses near the shore.

P1020089

This is on the new boardwalk, the pavillion

P1020091

This always amazes me, snow on the sand by the water.

P1020095

Ellen isn’t the only one out very early in the morning.

P1020096

The sun is beginning to come up and the sky is beautiful

I am quite happy to see snow this way, no desire to be in it.  One thing about working from home, I can still do things as long as the electricity stays on.  Once that’s gone, no computer, radio or anything – especially no lights.  We can at least light a fire in the fireplace and huddle in front of it.  I can also write with pen and paper and read, so I am not completely at a loss for something to do.  Of course, it is lovely to watch the snow fall and later the sparkly fresh snow crèches and is beautiful.  It is always interesting to see what tracks have been made – humans and creatures.

We are going to Toronto for christmas and I wouldn’t be surprised if they have snow.  it will probably be cold, so I am thinking wooleys, gloves and things to keep me warm.  Maybe we will not have to deal with it at all.  We had a several hour layover on our way to Jerusalem the last time – lovely sunny day, absolutely perfect.  Now we’ll see the opposite.  Our niece and her family are there and we are really looking forward to seeing them again after almost 14 years.

Eddie called his sister in Jerusalem yesterday morning, they were hit by the snow storm that covered a lot of the Middle East.  How her son made it up the hill to open the shop, I have no idea.  They don’t have central heating, usually kerosene heaters.  Since their apartment block is made of concrete, it can get cold and damp in the winter, so it isn’t easy for them to keep warm at the moment.

Snow is on the way for Ellen again, it will be interesting to see the photos from that.

Thank You Ellen for your lovely photos, I enjoy each one you send me.

The Usual Mash Up

August 17, 2013

How strange to find so much running around in my head, but the moment I decide to write a post about some of it, I suddenly can’t think of a thing.  Am I the only one?  So, when in doubt, put in a great picture from my sister.  This time they are from Ellen.

100_5721

A lovely Stargazer Lily

100_5714

A gorgeous Rose of Sharon

I don’t know where she finds them, but the pictures are always wonderful.  She has some amazing beach pictures as well.    I will put some of those in for another post.  These cheer me up and I marvel at Mother nature and the many different kinds of flowers there are to enjoy.   Thank You so much Ellen.

The other night we had thunder and lightning, some shook the house.  then a couple of rain showers but only enough to barely settle the dust.  Usually I am afraid of loud thunderstorms, for some reason I was more curious than afraid.  We have had a few rain showers but nothing one could call a good soaking rain.  I am feeling a bit dry and parched now, I miss the rain and to be honest I feel the way my Dad’s cousin in Southern California did – “Another goddamned beautiful day”.   After having no rain for 36 days,  it is time for a good rainstorm to wash the air and feel that fresh washed clean feeling.  We have had some showers here and there but nothing soaking so far.

I saw my Mom yesterday and I talked about things I remember in my childhood – she taught all three of us girls to do housework, make a hospital corner, and cook a bit.  I said I asked her to teach me to cook one summer and frustrated the heck out of me.  She doesn’t always follow the recipe, when I ask how long to beat it or how long to cook, her answer was “till it looks right” or “till it’s done”.  Not a lot of help but I learned a lot just watching her.  I also remembered hot cocoa and Christmas cookies when we came home from following the Christmas ship.  She seemed to be looking around and I wasn’t sure she was listening or had heard me.  Then she said she was interested in what I said.

Last week she was very alert – I have been going in the morning because she is now at the point where after lunch she is ready for a nap.  She sleeps a lot, part of the progression of dementia.   I bring my iPad to play songs she likes, though my data download was only at 20%.  My older sister suggested bagpipes and Sousa marches, so when I have more download I will do that.  Sometimes I am not sure what to talk about or how much comes through for her.

On the 1st of August I saw my rheumatologist before my infusion.  She was very pleased to see one of the markers for inflammation was down 7 points.  She was thinking the last time that possibly she might have to up the dose some, but decided to wait another week and see how the tests looked.  So I am getting the same amount still – unfortunately energy seems to be the last thing to come.  I have had a little more energy lately as well as feeling better – nothing I can put my finger on specifically, but better than it has been.

We have had more balderdash from the State looking for more money.  However, I have a secret weapon while I have been dealing with them and Medicaid.  Dave my attorney friend has helped so much with Mom and so many other things.  So I emailed him the email that my two sisters received and spoke to him about it.  he wrote a letter to the State to tell why it wasn’t owed, I paid it last year and my sisters had no reason to pay.  I saw him Wednesday at Breakfast Club and said the State decided he was right – no doubt very reluctantly.  Plus I have a letter and so will my sisters.

My childhood program has been not to ask for help or bother people, but  I had to ask for help when Mom began to really have very noticeable symptoms of dementia.  It was the smartest thing I could do in that situation and I found out that it wasn’t a burden to others – they wanted to help me.  What I also learned was that I was not alone, others in Breakfast Club had or were dealing with dementia or something similar in their own family.  I knew they really meant it when they said they understood.

Eddie’s back and we are having a couple over for dinner.  I have taken up this post, then did the bedroom, relaxed, did most of the bathroom – I have to sweep and mop the floor.  then I need to do the kitchen and sweep a bit in the living room.  Two rooms will look great.

One last photo because it is a beautiful photo of one of my favorite flowers – though not the plant itself.

Candy’s Photos

May 13, 2013

I decided my other sister Candy would have equal time with her photos.  She has been living in Nashville quite a while, she went down there for her song writing.  She has written songs herself and partnered with other song writers – it was the heyday of Music Ro and many, many publishers.  Well, like the book publishing world, the music world had the bottom drop out and things are very different now.

During those years Candy published several books – Christmas Abundance ( my favorite because it has some of our family traditions and recipes in it), then a series of three called The Art of Abundance, The Art of Simplicity and the Art of Encouragement.  For the past 2 or 3 years she has been learning about ebooks and has published several – plus a free one on her website ( http://www.candypaull.com).

She also started taking photos of flowers, mostly roses with interesting backgrounds and arrangements.

Love the dew drops!       I will check back in the archives to see some of her first ones.

Then at Christmas time, she had some interesting photos of  decorations, I really like this.

100_6322

Just recently she had some quite interesting photos that were taken around lake Radnor – a favorite place for her walks.  One never knows what she will find.

For a while Candy worked at Vanderbilt University and enjoyed her time there, the people she worked with and the work, plus she loved walking along the campus in all seasons.  She would send some wonderful photos and her enjoyment shined through  her photos.

That gives us an idea of Nashville and Vanderbilt University, and some of the things Candy has been doing while she has been there.  She has many things going on and has a book that is in the process with a new publisher – not only new to her but also new period.  I am looking forward to hearing how that is going and what will happen next for her.

So now I have shown both of my sisters and their photography – I am very proud of them and glad they are my sisters, or as we call each other Sisty Ugler.
